I'm open to anyone bringing an appropriate Christmas movie for Friday

I announced today that after the Break, we will be starting a Biography Research project that will involve both Reading and Writing marks for second term.  Absolutely no work is to be done over the holidays.  I am only telling the kids now so you can discuss a suitable person to study (IE:  not the latest "flavour of the month" entertainer).  More details to follow if I think they're necessary

Update

Hello, All:

Just to confirm a few things:  I have a field trip to the Ladner Leisure Centre booked on January 23 with our Buddy class!  That has always been fun in the past.  We will be asking for parent drivers for this date.  In addition, I have the dates set for us to go to Cypress Mountain.  On Friday Feb. 8, the Grade 6s and 7s will be going up cross country skiing and on Friday Feb. 22 we will go up again for snowshoeing in the morning and tubing in the afternoon. We will be taking buses up to Cypress, but we will be asking for some parent volunteers to help supervise on the mountain. Notices have not gone home for any of these trips.  I just wanted to keep you apprised so you know what to expect upon our return from the Break.
