Wow.  I bet that freaked out some Grade 2 and 3 kids and their parents.  My apologies.  I was informed that my blog for Friday went onto the blog site of another class.  Anyway, here is the blog for Friday.  I will re-post at the end of today for Monday's work.  One thing I know will be on there:  Parents of Grade 7 students, please ask your child about their Ancient Egypt projects so far.

I haven't set any specific dates yet, but the students all know that in the next two or so weeks, we will be wrapping up units in Science and Math (and so tests are coming for those; school time will be given to review, but just a head's up); they will also have a quiz on poetic devices and they will be presenting a poem they will have memorized to the class (no criteria has been given for this yet).  This is just an outline of some of the quizzes/presentations we have upcoming.  Of course we will continue with all of the regular in-school work, too.  This is a very busy time of year and I strongly suggest the students use the class time I give them as wisely as possible as this will help them stay on top of their work.
